The Company:
Our global leading client is seeking highly skilled, experienced & capable contract international employees to work on a large multinational complex oil & gas project

The Role:
Our client is seeking an experienced Pipelines Project Engineer to provide technical input and engineering and construction planning support during the Define and Execute Stages of the pipelines Project.

Responsibilities shall include, but not be limited to :

• Provision of technical and construction planning support during the Define and Execute Stages of the pipelines Project.
• Interfacing with associated discipline teams.

• Review of Design.

• Review of Specifications and Procedures.

• Coordination of Design Deliverables as may be required to support the project construction execution plan.

• Identification, resolution and reporting of engineering, procurement and construction related matters.

• Participate in the preparation and implementation of construction management procedures, work priorities and changes.

• Advise on constructability issues – participate in constructability reviews.

• Engage in the Project Risk Management Process and associated registers.

• Contribute to the Project Lessons Learned Process.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Engineering Degree in a Mechanical discipline preferred. Alternatives include Civil Engineering, Materials/Metallurgy/Corrosion disciplines.
• Alternative qualifications shall be considered with relevant experience.
The applicant should have a minimum of 5 years experience working on major projects within the Petrochemical or Oil and Gas Industries, including previous experience as a member of a multi-discipline engineering and construction team interfacing with design and construction contractors.

Experience of Pipeline engineering and construction projects in challenging locations would be desirable.

• Ability to work on own initiative.
• Good inter-personal skills.
• Ability to produce written reports.
• Computer literate in MS Word, MS Excel.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and specifications.
