The Company:
Our client is a Multinational Chemical company which will construct, own and operate a world-scale integrated chemicals complex in Saudi Arabia. Once completed, the complex will represent the largest petrochemical facility ever built in a single phase. Our client will establish a world-scale manufacturing footprint that delivers a full range of value-added, performance products destined for the emerging markets of Asia Pacific, the Middle East, Eastern Europe and Africa.

The Role:
Provide fired heater technical consulting for the Sadara site with focus on troubleshooting, asset reliability improvement and technology application. Your responsibilities will include:

• Respond to plant operational events
• Analyze site equipment performance
• Drive site asset improvement in the areas of Safety, Reliability, Environmental Performance and Equipment Capability
• Develop and deliver technical training for plant engineering organizations
• Support capital projects in the areas of design consulting, technical quality assurance and start-up assistance
• Develop and maintain technical standards and guidelines

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Candidates must have a degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering with 5 to 10 years of related professional experience (preferably within an operating company or a major engineering contractor).

• Knowledge of petrochemical industry fired equipment – with a primary emphasis on fired process heaters (petrochemical or other heavy industry experience would be an asset)
• Knowledge of steam generation, waste heat recovery, incineration and flare technologies, familiarity with the combustion process as well as fired heater ancillary equipment
• Knowledge and familiarity with applicable North American and international fired heater programs, codes and standards, as well as energy audits and environmental considerations
• Knowledge of control and safety facilities
