The Company:
Our client is a major global Oil and Gas EPC management company that can cover small Brownfield projects to major Greenfield projects.
They are a growth company who can serve as a Sole Supplier, Joint Venture or Subcontractor. With a proven track record of delivering large scale complex projects they are a progressive and attractive company.

The Role:
6 months duration anticipated, based near Stockport, with visits to Client local site(s).

Due to increased project needs our client is currently seeking to recruit 2No. AutoCad Piping Designers to join their Stockport office on an agency contact hire basis.

The successful candidate(s) will join a piping team on a major domestic project and must have experience of working on multi-discipline projects.

Responsible for performing field surveys taking detailed site measurements. Producing piping route study drawings, plant / equipment layout drawings, piping general arrangement drawings, piping isometrics complete with full material take-offs, and generating pipe support details / schedule.

Produce the required discipline deliverables to the agreed schedule.
Apply good interpersonal skills, liaising with members of other disciplines and departments.
Apply an awareness and willingness to work as a team member.
Quality Assurance – work within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance systems.
Safety – Responsible for personal safety and working within the Occupational Health & Safety procedures.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
HNC/OND/BTEC (or equivalent) + substantial project design experience
Excellent technical communication and co-ordination skills.
Substantial proven experience of detailed piping design gained with design contractors
A thorough knowledge of the codes and standards and a good piping design for chemical / oil and gas facilities.
AutoCAD skills.
