The Company:
A leading Oil Refining Company seeking a Piping Designer for their Toledo refinery.

The Role:
Full Time On-Site Piping Designer / Project Engineer

Create new and/or modify existing piping drawings to translate process engineering scopes to complete Issue For Construction (IFC) design packages including drawings, material lists, field condition photographs, plot plans, scopes of work, and details all per project and refinery procedures and standards. Coordinate each small project assigned with other disciplines (structural, electrical, I&C) as required to suit project needs. Demonstrate ability to manage time and multi-task efficiently to meet required assignment deadlines. Communicate and work well in a team environment.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Potential candidate should have a strong piping background and possess the ability to:

• Read/understand P&IDs, flow diagrams and process engineering scopes.
• Oil refinery piping experience.
• Working knowledge of process piping design, piping codes (ANSI, ASME, OSHA 1910, API codes and standards).
• Knowledge of process piping symbology a must.
• Knowledge of ISA symbology desirable.
• Create / modify piping isometrics per plant and industry standards.
• Experience with Process Safety Valves preferred.
• Multi-task numerous different individual small projects.
• Walk-down refinery processing site including climbing ladders and scaffolds (without physical restrictions; be in good health).
• Work a standard 50-hour work week (during refinery outages overtime work could be much greater).


Software:

Qualified candidate must possess a full working knowledge of AutoCAD 2013 commensurate with experience. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel, Word, Outlook and Explor
