The Company:
Our client is a large EPC contractor working on a Global basis providing a full range of project-related services to the oil and gas, refining, petrochemical, upstream and nuclear industries

Likely package
$4,000 per month Accommodation allowance
$1,500 per month living allowance
40hr week
13 on 2 off rotation
Completion 10% of annual salary

The Role:
The Piping /Layout Engineer will be experienced in PMC Piping & Layout.

The Piping /Layout Engineer will check and review EPC contractor's calculations, specifications, data sheets, requisitions, technical bid evaluations, and drawings. Prepare same when necessary.

Check and review EPC contractor's and vendors proposals, documentation and drawings.
Review other engineering deliverables specific to the piping & layout technical area such as Material Requisitions and PO's.

Assess and report progress, manage EPC contractor's activities, attend technical meetings on behalf of client and take part in project decision making.

Depth of knowledge of plant layout, piping design, materials specification, piping technical specifications, as applicable in the petrochem / oil & gas industry essential.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Degree qualified , preferably Chartered/Professional Engineer, with extensive experience.

Must be familiar with European, American and International standards applicable to the industry (as relevant to the Piping Engineering discipline). Knowledge of Indian standards and practices would be advantageous.

Must be computer literate with a range of office automation (OA) applications. Working knowledge of CAD/CAE and review software
Good written and verbal communication skills (English), IT ability and knowledge of common engineering software programs such as Autocad, Microstation and model review software etc essential.
Previous PMC & Offshore experience on petrochemical projects is essential.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Previous experience in a PMC role would be a major advantage
