The Company:
SADARA is a Multinational Chemical company which is constructing and operating a world-scale integrated chemicals complex in Saudi Arabia. Once completed, the complex will represent the largest petrochemical facility ever built in a single phase. This will establish a world-scale manufacturing footprint that delivers a full range of value-added, performance products destined for the emerging markets of Asia Pacific, the Middle East, Eastern Europe and Africa.

The Role:
Duties may include but are not limited to the following:

Assisting designers in equipment layout (General Arrangements) and pipe routing.

Coordinating and supervising detailed piping design performed in house and by sub-contractors to ensure that piping design is optimized.

Check piping drawings developed by sub-contractor including support locations and design.


Must have at least five years of piping stress analysis experience using CAESAR II pipe stress program and in depth knowledge of the ASME Piping Codes B31. 1 and B31. 3, and PFI.

Applicants must have in depth knowledge of various types of valves and valve industry standards such as ANSI/API, and AWWA and experience writing piping material specification, piping insulation specification, cleaning and testing and pipe fabrication specification.

Qualified candidates will possess excellent oral and written communication skills, the ability work in a team environment and ability to meet tight project deadlines.

The successful candidate will possess the ability to track project progress and work within tight budgets. In depth knowledge of flexibility analysis of metallic and non-metallic piping system.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
A Bachelors Degree in an Mechanical Engineering is required for this position with a Masters Degree in the same strongly preferred.

Minimum 10 years of experience with all aspects of piping design, piping engineering, and equipment layout required.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
PE License preferred.

AutoCad and 3D experience is a plus.

Knowledge of rotating and stationary equipment is a preferred but not necessary.
