The Role:

•Ensure that Company HSE&Q policies and procedures are adhered to in all phases of the work.
•Participate in HSE related activities - Tool Box Meetings, Site HSE walks / inspections.
•General HSE follow-up and monitoring.
•Participate in review and approval of RA / Construction Method Statement submittals.
•Provide experienced input into the Piping part of the schedule to ensure a realistic schedule is produced.
•Monitor all piping construction activities, from pre fabrication of spools through out to field installation, line walk down, testing, reinstatement activities and ensure all activities are executed in accordance with the appropriate standards, procedures and the schedule.
•Along with the QC group, monitor the performance of the EPC Contractor on piping fabrication, fit-up, dimensional checks and control, component erection and trial fits.
•Participate and support QC with relation to witness and Hold point inspections in accordance with the approved Inspection & Test Plans.
•Provide input to site team to avoid/resolve piping problems.
•Report non conformities and improvement areas to the Piping Lead Construction Supervisor.
•Ensure that the contractor uses dimensional control in a proactive manner in order to achieve the required dimensional tolerances both at prefabrication stages as well as installation stages.
•Review Piping dimensional control reports to ensure that tolerance requirements are met.
•Participate along with Piping construction lead in weekly discipline meetings.
•Review and evaluate Contractor’s records.
•Review Contractor’s and Suppliers’ completion files for accuracy and adequacy.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
•Tertiary education within piping / mechanical engineering / construction
•Less formal education may be compensated by documented relevant experience
•Minimum 10 years experience of construction of large offshore projects
•Extensive relevant experience as a Piping Field Engineer.
•Good working knowledge of working with exotic materials (Titanium, Duplex, Super duplex, Stainless steel, 6Mo)
•Working knowledge and experience with offshore engineering & industry construction codes and standards such as API, ASME, ANSI, AWS CWI
•Experience with EPC type contracts
•Min 5 years experience working with SE Asian Contractors
•Fluent in English, verbal and written
•Preferred experience:
•Working knowledge and experience with Norwegian offshore engineering & industry construction codes

•Good communication skills

Additional requirements:
•Experience of and aptitude for working in a diverse cultural environment
•Prepared and willing to travel and commute
