The Company:
Our client, a major international Engineering, Procurement & Construction company, requires expertise for their ongoing mega-projects in Alberta.

This position is open to Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents only.

The Role:
Details of Position:
· Plant piping design, plant layout, material management and stress analysis.
· Full cycle piping work processes from 3D model initiation to production of IFC drawings.
· 3D model review process, including setting requirements for reviews and resolving tags.

AMEC’s Oil & Gas Canada business unit in Calgary is currently recruiting for a Project Piping Lead (SAGD) to manage a team for a 30,000 bbl/day SAGD facility Details of Position:
• Plant piping design, plant layout, material management and stress analysis.
• Full cycle piping work processes from 3D model initiation to production of IFC drawings.
• 3D model review process, including setting requirements for reviews and resolving tags. Qualifications:
• Diploma in Piping Design – ASET member preferred. • Minimum 15 years piping layout with 7-10 years on SAGD facilities
• Previous experience managing piping teams of 20+ members.
• Extensive experience with design of piping and layout of SAGD CPF plants and well pads.
• Experience managing budgets of 20,000+ hours.
• Experience executing projects at the conceptual, DBM, FEED and detailed engineering phases
• Sound knowledge of planning, progress control and forecasting techniques including WBS and CWP’s
• Sound understanding of work processes as they relate to other disciplines
• Knowledge of industry regulatory codes.
• Previous experience with modularized construction.
• Working knowledge of SmartPlant and/or AVEVA tool suites (in depth experience in one of them is mandatory).
• Previous experience using intelligent P&ID’s. • Superior communication skills both written and verbal.
• Proven mentorship and coaching ability.
