The Company:
Our client is a large multi-national organization which explores, develops, produces and markets crude oil, gas and sulfur. They pride themselves in conducting operations in accordance with the world–class safety and environmental standards.

The Role:
•Provide discipline engineering services as part of a team providing engineering, design services to support Existing Field Facilities Program. This includes responsibility for work on a wide variety of facilities including:
•Onshore production facilities (well sites, flowlines, gathering lines, metering stations, central field manifolds etc.)
•Oil/Gas separation processing.
•Electrical Power Generation & Distribution.
•General infrastructure such as roads, warehousing and camp facilities.
•Essential Positions Functions:
•Development of discipline engineering specifications.
•Coordination and review of off-site discipline engineering work performed by engineering service contractors.
•Specification and supervision of site survey work.
•Production of discipline engineering of new (and modifications to existing) Oil & Gas production facilities, and production of “Approved for Construction” work packages under the guidance of Lead Discipline Engineers and Discipline Designers.
•Specification and order documentation for purchasing materials and equipment. Can include coordination activities with vendors/suppliers. For Mechanical Discipline this will include piping bulks, static / rotating equipment and packaged units.
•Provide Field Engineering support to Construction Department.
•Provide technical information for different types of materials used in construction with the oil & gas industry.
•Analysis and design of reinforced concrete & steel structures (Civil / Structural)
•Mechanical: Must have understanding of typical process plant engineering deliverables such as PFD’s, P&ID’s, piping general arrangements, isometrics etc. Must have good communication skills and be able to function in a multicultural environment. An understanding of stress analysis and CAESAR II software would be advantageous. An understanding of HVAC and building services would be advantageous.
•Civil / Structural: Must have understanding of typical process plant engineering deliverables such as steelwork and foundation calculations and drawings. Must be able to use statistical design programs such as SAP1000, ETABS, SAFE etc. Must have sound knowledge of construction materials. Must have good communication skills (preferably English and Russian) and be able to function in a multicultural environment.
•Instrument & Controls: Must have understanding of typical process plant engineering deliverables such as PFD’s, P&ID’s, isometrics, instrument loop diagrams, electrical single line drawings etc. Must have good communication skills and be able to function in a multicultural environment. Should have past experience of being a team player when having Process Hazard Identification (PHI) meetings, Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) reports and HAZOP studies.

Must have thorough knowledge of the process industry in order to complete system Cause & Effects matrices from P&IDs and similar for Fire & Gas Detection Systems. Must be able to carry out risk analysis evaluation and determine & recommend the applicable Safety Integrity Level (SIL) rating.

Must have a working knowledge and understanding of Honeywell’s “Total Plant Solution” TPS 3000 Distributed Control System and Plantscape. Experience of working with and using Allen Bradley Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC’s) SLC5 & Control Logix.

•Electrical: Must have understanding of typical process plant engineering deliverables such as PFD’s, P&ID’s, isometrics, instrument loop diagrams, electrical single line drawings etc. Knowledge of electrical system studies, protection schemes, determination of fault levels and discrimination settings would be an advantage. Essential Skills / Qualifications:
•Must have an Engineering Degree in the related discipline. Must have an in depth understanding of International Codes and Standards such as ANSI, ASME, BS, ASTM, API, GOST, SNIP etc. related to the discipline required. In addition Instrument & Controls Engineers must be familiar with the following, IEC, ISA, IP and NFPA.
•Candidates must have a minimum of 5-8 years experience, preferably within the petrochemical industry. Experience in an international location is preferable. Work on numerous small to medium size projects is preferable. Because of the technical make-up of the facilities, a background of both upstream and downstream experience is desirable, but not a must, or experience with major sour gas oilfields or processing facilities.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Experience as a Senior Designer with AutoCAD experience would be beneficial
