The Role:
As the Piping / Static Equipment Inspector you will be an integral member of the LNG Plant Project team. Reporting to the Technical Compliance Manager you will be responsible for ensuring that applicable engineering codes & standards and approved welding specifications are correctly implemented and adhered to by the principle EPC Contractor and subcontractors. Review cause and effect data of welding and manufacturing defects, and review and monitor the EPC Contractor’s inspection and examination schedules and programs for compliance with Project requirements.

Responsibilities:
• Provision of support to the LNG Plant development project for overall piping & static equipment inspection regimes including but not limited to the following:
• Monitor and audit the development and execution of all EPC Contractor’s Inspection & Test Plans
• Audit internal inspection & examination strategies and methods and report on effectiveness to the Technical Compliance Manager;
• Assist the Technical Compliance Manager in appropriate call-off of third party inspection resources as and when required;
• Support project engineering staff during supplier audits and surveillance;
• Monitor & review EPC Contractor’s selection of Non-Destructive Examination companies & specialists and review & analyse data from NDE reporting;
• Monitor & review welding qualification records, welder history records and welding performance data;
• Review and monitor EPC Contractor’s flange management programs and controls
• Review and monitor EPC Contractor’s system completion programs and reporting methods.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Qualified Senior welding inspector (recognised International Standard)
• Minimum of 15 years experience in welding and static-equipment inspection, supplier & vendor inspections, including significant relevant experience on large multi-national & multi-location projects.
• Substantial experienced in major plant piping-system completion, testing & handover.
• Demonstrated experienced in current Non-destructive examination methods & techniques.
