The Role:
• Check and supervise that the work is performed in compliance with the contract specifications, schedule and assess any deviations requested by the contractor before transmitting it to the Construction Superintendant
• Anticipate and make sure that Contractor has at all the time the right set of execution drawings with the right changes/discrepancy and with available materials on site prior to perform the works.
• Manage and Control the piping construction, precommissioning activities and work performed by the contractor in close relation with his contractor counterpart at supervision level.
• Ensure that contractor HSE and quality practices are acceptable, that work permit procedure is closely followed, that proper measures and procedures are being implemented by everyone concerned, and that all activities are evaluated and planned for by the contractor with elimination of risks to prevent occurrence of accidents and delays
• Assess the acceptability of any deviation/relaxation requested on site by the contractor or to provide any clarification requested.
• Ensure that the piping interfaces between existing facilities and new facilities are properly taken care of
• Monitor the development by the contractor, in due time, of performance tests and to participate in some of these tests, as appropriate.
• Provide expertise and assistance in each specialist discipline to the CST Superintendent and QA/QC Inspectors.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Ability to identify, analyse and solve problems (related to site safety, construction, quality control, schedule, etc., or of a technical nature).
• At least 10 years’ experience of Piping supervision in the context of oil and gas projects
• Experience in Piping Engineering an advantage
• Good understanding of the contractual relationships between project, the contractors and subcontractors.
• Fluency in English (speaking and writing).

Training:
• T-Basic Offshore Safety and Emergency Training (BOSIET) (including HUET)
