The Company:
Is a leading Automotive manufacturer with a reputation for outstanding quality the world over. With demand increasing and an upturn in production, there is a need to bring further skills into the business to deliver on current and future projects.

The Role:
Main Purpose of the Role

To maximise; analyse and apply all learning from our competitors, apply all learning from previous PKO Initiatives and through the use of the tools and techniques available in the Company and throughout the Group provide the best cost avoidance delivery to the company.

Scope of the Role

1. Generate cost and weight optimisation idea initiatives with Engineering Functions, suppliers and other company departments. Focus on applications across Future and current model lines.
2. Manage the assessment of these optimisation initiatives for initial technical and commercial feasibility and co-ordinate activity across the PKO Team and Functional Departments.
3. Maximise the Company's benefit from Group PKO activities, through the adoption of Group (all brands) initiatives and processes.
4. Accountable for the execution of the planned PKO in PEP48 optimisation projects within budget and time to satisfy the company financial plans.
5. Assist the PKO department with international business and language.
6. Assist in the longer-term education of the company to improve its cost and weight management techniques for future projects.

Qualifications and Experience

- Degree in an appropriate Engineering discipline.
- 3-5 years experience as an Engineer working on vehicle projects.
- Fluency in German.
- Proven track record of successful delivery of vehicle systems/features as an engineer responsible for quality, cost and timely delivery in a new vehicle project, or as a Project Manager of smaller vehicle projects.
- Project management skills required to lead and motivate cross-functional teams to deliver PKO projects.
