The Company:
Our client is a major recognized operating company in Canada and is looking for strong Planner & Schedulers/ Project Controllers to join their team.
The challenges of their up coming project include steep mountainside and high altitude construction, constricted construction seasons, and a congested corridor leading to the LNG Plant.

The Role:
The successful Project Controlling candidate will be responsible for supporting and accomplishing the following:

 -They will serve as the central point of contact for all pipeline construction planning and scheduling needs in the field, coordinating the flow of schedule and progress data between the owner’s construction management team, the home office project controls team, and contractors.
 -The successful candidate will provide all field project controls services requiring planning/scheduling work using a combination of Primavera P6 8.2.0, Tilos 8, MS Excel 2010, and MS Project 2010.
 -In addition, they will have to develop and maintain detailed level 4 construction schedules in P6 for non‐linear scopes of work including block valve facilities, HDD bore crossings, bridges and aerial crossings.
 -The successful candidate will be responsible to proactively provide expert advice to the owner’s construction management team to analyse construction barriers, delays, changes in execution, and opportunities for schedule optimization.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
The Planner & Scheduling candidate is expected to have advanced proficiency in scheduling software applications (Oracle
Primavera P6 release 8 and above, MS Project); experience using linear scheduling software (Tilos 7 or
8) is a strong advantage.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
The successful candidate is required to have the following:
-Four year degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Project Management
 -At least 4 years of experience in construction planning and scheduling of upstream or midstream
onshore oil and gas projects. Pipeline construction experience is preferred but not required.
 -10+ years of experience in planning/scheduling on large (>$100M) oil and gas projects may be substituted for the above education requirement.
-AACE International certification as a Planning & Scheduling Consultant and/or as a Certified Cost Engineer/Consultant is preferred but not necessary.
