The Role:
As the demand for our expertise continues to grow, an opportunity has arisen for a Planner to join our Transmission and Distribution business. The successful candidate will work within Wales & West Utilities (WWU) and Western Gas Alliance (WGA) procedures and undertake work on behalf of the Alliance in a sustainable, safe, timely and cost effective manner and to ensure the programme is planned, communicated and completed in a consistent manner in accordance with NRSWA and TMA legislation, and WWU communication strategy.

• Consider current and future workload to ensure team targets and deadlines are achieved and ensure delivery of the annual programme
• Monitor workload and implement remedial steps where necessary, in terms of quality and output levels
• Provide regular statistical information as necessary
• Adhere to and work within the Guiding Principle
• Demonstrate team working across the Alliance
• Attend team briefings and consultations
• Plan projects to the required standard and input relevant information onto WWU / WGA systems
• Liaise with Operations and external stakeholders to ensure that projects are planned in the most cost effective and least disruptive manner
• Provide work to Planning Administrative Assistants to support the delivery of the planning workload
• Maintain a safe working environment
• Report and / or record all accidents, incidents, environmental events, damages, near misses and illnesses
• Comply with the HSE&E requirements relevant to their duties and responsibilities
• Update and maintain accurate filing systems
• Ensure all relevant records / paperwork is accounted for, including signature where relevant

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Knowledge and experience in highways programming
• Competent in the use of Microsoft Excel and Project
