The Company:
Our client specialises in the design, manufacture, assembly, test, installation and commissioning of bespoke solutions for the nuclear industry.

The Role:
The Project Planner will be involved in the establishment of project schedule, resources and budgets to agreed estimates and timescales.

They will be obtaining feedback from budget holders.

Completion of schedule updates on a weekly basis.

The Project Planner will be involved in the analysis of project resource demands/availability.

Assessment of man-hours and associated costs, purchasing costs and expense costs on a weekly basis.

Assessment of committed and actual purchase costs/forecasts.

The Project Planner will be involved in the Production of timely and accurate internal reports/programmes.

Week to week comparisons.

Comparisons and performance measurement against previous forecasts.

Production of schedules/reports from P3e planning software.

The Project Planner will be involved with earned Value Analysis, Critical Path Analysis, Resource analysis, Look-ahead programmes etc.

Production of timely and accurate Client schedules/reports.

Inclusion of change as per the change control system.

The Project Planner development and maintenance of reporting systems in order to meet project demands.

Assessment of progress and subsequent reporting of project KPIs.

Identification and prioritisation of likely overspends.

Participation in Risk management process and inclusion of mitigating action.

The Project Planner will liaise with functional project engineers to develop and instil an appreciation of planning issues/importance.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
The Project Planner needs to have good experience of Primavera of someone who has been involved in it

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Ideally the candidate would have qualifications (A Levels or Degree) in Engineering, Maths, Physics, Science etc.
The client is flexible on industry as long as the Planner can work across complex projects.
