The Company:
Our client, a major oil and gas operator, is seeking a Planner/Scheduler to join one of their major projects.

The Role:
• Deliver the implementation and ensure compliance to the Project Controls processes, procedures and systems by Company and Contractor within the Downstream Project Team (e.g. P6, Progress Measurement, WBS)
• Deliver and ensure Maintenance of Phase 4 Schedule procedures (SCN’s, Progress Measurement, Contingency Management)
• Deliver proper operations of DS project Schedule Control System, admin, training, data integrity
• Deliver Downstream Phase 4 Project Controls (Planning, Reporting and Action Tracking)
• Deliver Audit and Compliance role over Contractor schedule, progress measurement and change management processes and procedures
• Support the management and validation of Contractor Schedules (Levels 1 – 3)
• Support the validation of Contractors Progress Measurement Systems.
• Support the implementation of the SCN & Trend Management System
• Support the maintenance of the Phase 4 PEP
• Support Phase 4 cost & schedule risk assessments
• Support Class 3.5, 4 & 5 Estimates
• Support development of Project Closeout Plan
• Support DS cost closeout and external benchmarking
• Support the Audit of Contractor Schedule Reporting (forecasting, progress measurement, earned value, productivity)
• Support and Interface with Project Services Teams
• Support and Interface with Area Delivery Managers, Subcontracts, Procurement, IM/IT groups to assist with accurate project cost, schedule, trend control & reporting
• Interface with Contractor Project Controls
• Interface with Business Team Lead(s), Project Controls Lead, Lead Planning Engineer, Lead Cost Engineer, Cost Engineer(s), Estimator, Trend Engineer, Schedulers, Reporting Coordinator, Quantity Surveyor, Project Services Technician
• Support the Downstream Business Team organizational structure and staffing required to complete Phase 4 execution and close out of Engineering and Procurement Phases
• Support Field Project Controls Team relating to E / P schedule and Interfaces
• Deliver Leadership and oversight of the Houston Planning team by encouraging Team development and supporting overall Org Capability
• Support appropriate external resources required for the Downstream Cost/Project Controls to complete Phase 4 deliverables
• Support Team Development, foster and develop constructive relationships with Downstream EPC Contractor

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Degree preferred but experience in O&G EPC environment will be acceptable.
10+ years planning/scheduling experience in oil & gas upstream or downstream engineering and procurement environment required
• Working knowledge of Primavera version 6.2 and MS Office (Excel, Word, and Power Point)
