The Company:
Our client, a major owner/operating company, requires expertise for their ongoing oil sands mega-projects in Alberta.

The Role:
PRINCIPAL TASKS:
The principal accountabilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:
• Ensure that the established planning and scheduling methodology is followed in developing project plans and schedules
• Facilitate interactive planning sessions
• Integrate data from engineering and construction contractors to update the monthly owner’s schedule updates.
• Develop level 3 construction and modularization schedules in P6
• Support the development of the Work Breakdown Structure to support delivery of assigned projects
• Prepare monthly schedule reports, including variance analysis, schedule forecast updates and schedule contingency management.
• Perform probabilistic analysis on integrated schedules and contractor schedules and perform contingency determination
• Ensure contractor compliance with established scheduling methodology and manage contractor performance.
• Assess and incorporate the impact of approved changes and any deviations from project targets and milestones, including productivity monitoring and identification of alternate approaches to optimise the plan(s)

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering is preferred but other technical diploma/certificate can be considered.
2. Preferable to have WHIMS, and H2S Alive training, but not mandatory

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Required to have 8+ years planning experience on oil and gas projects, strong hands-on skills in P6 and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
