The Role:
Planner/Scheduler

Development position in Planning and Scheduling targeting individuals who are looking to gain broad exposure and develop as a project management professional with an Oil and Gas industry Operator. The incumbent will be expected to initiate project plans, develop project schedules, risk the schedule, implement project progress measurement systems, and maintain a proven process for managing schedule changes.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepare plans and schedules for project study and execution phases.

Integrate schedules from multiple sources – contractors and vendors. – to build the project master schedule.

Conduct schedule range analyses, including facilitating sessions.

Maximize use of common tools and systems to foster continuous improvement.

Liaise with project team members to ensure that all project facets are addressed in plans and schedules in conformance to Petroleum and Corporate standards.

Manage schedule updates.

Assess project schedule performance based on earned value and forecasts.

Track schedule contingency utilization.

Analyze critical path and float.

Provide schedule input to monthly reports.

Provide schedule benchmarks as necessary to validate schedules.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
MUST have "deep" water experience as a planner/scheduler.

Undergraduate degree in engineering, construction or business.

Thorough knowledge of project scheduling software tools.

Minimum of 5 years experience executing capital projects, minimum 2 of which are directly related to planning and scheduling, preferably in the Oil and Gas industry.

Good experience in project execution in all phases of projects, from inception through project close out.
