The Company:
Our client, a major owner/operator company, seeks expertise for their mega LNG project in Canada.

The Role:
· Provides resource planning and project schedules for various types of projects.
• Prepares and manages overall master project schedule integrating the project Work Breakdown Structure using an appropriate scheduling software package.
• Coordinates schedule from multiple contractors and incorporates the information gathered into the overall project master schedule.
• Monitors and forecasts progress of activities in contractors’ work schedules. Highlights problem areas and recommends remedial actions.
• Evaluates critical paths in the project schedules and evaluate alternative schedule options to identify optimum project strategies or resolve problems before and during execution.
• Performs probabilistic analysis of completion dates and potential alternatives. Presents risk based analysis of most likely completion and expected deviation range.
• Develops and implements plan versus actual progress curves. Reports and analyses monthly deviations from plan. Evaluates allocation of resources and provides recommendations to maintain required progress.
• Liaises with all team leaders to communicate required completion dates and interfaces between responsible parties.
• Works closely with cost engineer and accountant for expenditure and value of work forecasting.
• Prepares and issues updated project schedules.
• Works closely with Cost Control for expenditure forecasting and progress.

This position is responsible for developing, maintaining, tracking and report progress on the LNG Project Operations Planning (POP) integrated work plan for the pre-operations phase of the project. The plan will detail all tasks necessary to produce POP deliverables, with complete predecessor / successor logic links, and with appropriate logic ties to the master EPC schedule. The plan will be resource loaded and leveled. Primary and secondary critical paths will be identified, monitored, and reported. Additionally, the Pre-Operations Planner / Scheduler’s secondary responsibilities will include supporting the Pre-Operations team with personnel work schedules and logistics.

It is anticipated that this position will transition into a back-to-back rotational role at Kitimat, British Columbia to support the execution of pre-commissioning, commissioning, start-up, performance testing, and ultimate handover of the completed facilities to Operations.

The position will work closely with the corporate business unit and the Pipeline project representatives.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
BS preferred or equivalent experience.
Major Capital Project Experience Desirable: Minimum 5 years proven experience in major capital projects planning, preferably in the oil & gas industry.
Experience performing all of the responsibilities listed in the job description while working within a large, multifunctional team.
Fully qualified user of Primavera and or MS Project.
Progress tracking based on a value of work done (VOWD) method of progress measurement that the Pre-Operation Planner will administer.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
LNG / Cryogenic Plant / Gas Plant experience a strong advantage
