The Company:
Our major Oil & Gas Client is in need of a Planner - Senior III in Houston, Texas.

The Role:
The Senior Planner will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and reporting on the project plan and performance.

RESPONSIBILITIES: The duties and responsibilities for this role are as follows:
- Develop the program integrated schedule consistent with the Client Major Projects Common Process;
- Develop and manage detailed schedules covering activities through to the start of execution;
- Manage and support planning activities of the contractors chosen to execute the program of work;
- Ensure that schedule learning from complementary work in other Client Business units and external companies are identified and appropriately utilized;
- Assist in developing the schedule process, system and procedures to support the program;
- Assess potential contractors’ and vendors’ schedule capabilities;
- Provide assurance that the contractors schedule systems interface with Client and progress measurement is effective and consistent;
- Promote collaborative information sharing with team members and contractors;

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE: To be considered for this role, applicants must have the following qualifications:
- Solid broad-based experience in Appraise, Select, Define and Execute phases on projects, a clear track record of delivery and a willingness and ability to work with all disciplines;
- Well developed interpersonal skills, including the ability to develop and maintain relationships with colleagues and contractors;
- Good communications skills;
- Well developed support / knowledge management networks;
- Understanding of current schedule best practices and familiarity with Primavera P6 ,( and Milestones Professional a plus)
- Excellent teamwork skills, including the ability to work with various sub-teams to resolve issues and reach decisions that are in the best interest of the program;

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: In addition to the required qualifications, the successful applicant is likely to be able to demonstrate the following:
- Experience working with subsea & fabrication contractors.
- Experience working on new technology projects, and projects in the early stages (Appraise, Select);
- Ability to work in a project with a fluid scope of work;

ANY OTHER RELEVANT INFORMATION: - Minimum BA/BS and 5 years equivalent experience or 7 years equivalent experience may be substituted. Valid driver’s license; - English fluency required; - Local Candidates Preferred.
