The Company:
Our client is a major operator within the Oil and Gas Industry

The Role:
Main Job Function:

Provide a Cost Control function to the project team. To provide accurate cost reporting and control on a range of Engineering, Procurement and Construction Contracts to be awarded by the Project Team. To analyse contractor cost and invoicing information and to assemble a number of differing cost reports and forecast costs on a monthly basis includuing ad hoc requests, as required.

Key Responsibility Areas:

• To provide full Cost Engineering, Work Management, Analysis and Cost Control guidance.
• Develop and maintain Cost Reporting system.
• Develop and maintain all Cost Reports including the maintenance of the trend system for forecasting.
• Execute Cost Control for both contracts and In house management costs.
• Carry out cost Risk Analysis and management reserve utilisation (contingency)
• Produce estimates as required and annual budgets.
• Control Contractors reimbursable manpower.
• To ensure all contractors invoices are verified before submission for payment.
• Support Project Engineers in developing estimates and contracts cost control.
• To provide services including assistance during contract preparation, bid evaluation, contract administration and verification of contractual payments.
• Supporting Project Engineers in developing estimates and contracts cost control.
• Ensure all contractors invoices are verified before submission for payment and are fully in compliance with administrative contractual requirements.
• Prepare Annual and Bi-annual Project forecast and Work Plan and Budget costs and phasing.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Relevant degree
• Several years experience in Upstream Projects in a similar role
• Competent with Computer based tools including Word, Excel, MSOffice and PowerPoint. A knowledge of any other data base system would be an advantage.
• Good management skills
• Adaptability and initiative capability
• Relationship building skills
• Excellent decision making and problem solving ability
