The Company:
Our Client is an International Company involved in the supply of Energy globally. Their Operations cover Exploration, Production and Downstream and at present they have projects in over 25 Countries worldwide.
In Australia they are involved in one of the Country's largest LNG Projects, including both Gas and Condensate which is currently in Execution Stage.

The Role:
A new opportunity has arisen for a Planning Engineer based on a 6 month contract. The position will be on rotation 10 days in Batam and 10 days in Perth.

This position is responsible for planning activities for the development of offshore facilities especially URF area so that they meet the Company's requirements.

The role will include:
• To provide planning, control and monitoring service to the URF project facilities team, primarily focused on Fabrication and Construction activities, covering all contractors and associated licensors/sub-contractors.
• Co-ordination of planning effort provided by contractors and assist their planning engineers in developing Level 3 schedules.
• Assist in maintaining the overall offshore integrated schedule which sits in the Project Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) in Perth.
• Liaise with the contractors and associated licensors/sub-contractors planning engineers; with regards to the status of agreed deliverables.
• Present clear and concise planning reports / documentation on a regular basis, this would include bar charts and networks, man-hours loading, manpower, S-curves and productivity reports.
• Attend progress/co-ordination meetings.
• Provide an independent assessment of individual contractors’ progress.
• Assist the Operations team in development of a completions/systems handover and commissioning schedule
• Maintain close integration with Project Services groups in other locations and input as required.
Objectives
• Provision of effective construction planning and Co-ordination of the project team inclusive of contractors, licensors and sub-contractors.
• To ensure that planning activities have satisfactory incorporated the requirements of project and appropriate regulations

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Batchelor Degree in Engineering or related field, or min 7 years planning in the Oil & Gas Industry

Skill requirements
• Proficient with Primavera .
• Microsoft Office products including Excel, Power Point and Word.

Experience requirements
• Proven experience on Fabrication yards.
• Broad understanding of facilities engineering and Project Control issues without being a specialist.
• Highly developed cross cultural influencing skills for work with subcontract staff of varied nationalities and backgrounds.
• Able to work in an integrated team environment.
• Working as the Client in a Client / Contractor environment.

Special requirements
• Overseas travel will be required (Singapore & Indonesia).
• Physically fit and able to work in subcontractors' offices, Fabrication Yards and on site in a manager, non physical labor, type role.
