The Company:
Our Client’s engineering division, has been a leader in the design of drilling facilities for offshore platforms worldwide for over 30 years. The company’s 700-strong workforce provides a range of engineering services from pre-project and Front End Engineering Design (FEED) through detail design, construction support, hook-up and commissioning.

The Role:
The primary responsibilities of the role are to:

• Managing all required project planning reports
• Ensuring quality and up to date weekly/monthly planning reports are produced for specific projects
• Managing interpreting and presentation of project planning data
• Inputting schedule data into the monthly project status review meeting
• Developing and assuring the performance and smooth running of the planning function, including dealing with ad-hoc issues and day to day planning management issues
• Developing planning procedures and processes
• Undertaking reviews / audits of the project planning processes
• Conducting internal monthly reviews with the required stakeholders for the specific contract
• Running risk based schedule reviews
• Assisting with the coaching and training of personnel
• Validation of subcontractors and 3rd parties progress
• Assisting Head of Projects with the development of succession plans in conjunction with HR
• Developing project resources plans to meet the five year development program
• Developing and managing continuous improvement with-in the Planning Department
• Interfacing with other business functions to assist the planning management process
• Travelling to jobsites and client offices, as required, to interface with the client subcontractors
• Maintaining a project planning filing system in accordance with the project/corporate numbering system, where appropriate

Key personal attributes required:

Knowledge of SAP would be desirable
