The Company:
Our Client is a Global Operator in the Oil and Gas Industry. This role supports our clients project in Algeria.

The Role:
• Responsible to the Project Services Manager for ensuring the integration management and control of the multi EPC Contractors schedules and that they are properly planned, measured and accurately reported in line with the Project Schedule and the Project Control Central Office Procedures.

• Responsible for promotion of sound Planning and Progress Measurement engineering practice at all times.

• Prepare, implement and administer all aspects of planning and scheduling control, schedule change, trend control and system maintenance in accordance with the requirements of the Project Controls Procedures and as directed by the Site Project Services Manager and the Senior Controls Engineer (Planning) at the Project Controls Central Office.

• Create and implement the PMT procedures to cover the PMT planning and progress measurement work undertaken at the EPC office(s) and implement planning and progress measurement control procedures with the contractor. Shall set up new processes and procedures where contractor’s methods or procedures are deficient or where none exist.

• Monitor the EPC contractor’s performance from a planning perspective (schedule development, progress measurement, interface timing control, supply chain planning, collection verification and analysis of progress statistics to ensure any deviations from plan are correctly reported and that solutions are derived and implemented etc). Review and analyse contractors planning schedules and reports to ensure accuracy and completeness and detect and manage trends/deviations to the current forecast.

• Implement and manage the planning aspects of the Trend/Change control system for the EPC contract and assist the Project Services Manager to apply the procedures within the PMT’s and EPC Contract management team. Provide suitable trend reports to the Project Services Manager and PMT to ensure the PMT are fully aware of all variances to the EPC contract and the required activities to maximise positive trends and minimise negative trends. Follow up on PMT actions to ensure such trend control activities are properly implemented with the EPC contractor

• Regularly archive and maintain a live data base of the Contractors planning output that allows the integration of the EPC Contract activities into the overall Project Plan managed by the Senior Controls Engineer (planning) at the Central Office. The data base shall also keep the EPC Contract schedule risk register and be capable of carrying out schedule risk analysis as required by the EPC Contract or the Project Controls Central Office.

• Create monthly, annual and ad-hoc planning reports and forecasts as required and produce planning presentation materials as requested by the Project Services Manager and Project Controls Central Office

• Assist the Project Services Manager in the day to day administration of schedule control for the EPC Contract scope of work. Shall keep management informed of the Contractors schedule performance at all times and liaise regularly with the contractors planning team, the site planning engineer and the Senior Control Engineer (Planning) at the Project Controls Central Office

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Required Experience:
• At least 5 to10 years planning engineering experience in the oil and gas industry industry using Primavera P3 and P6. .
• Good team player with sound knowledge of modern project control techniques
• Ability to work as part of an integrated team in a remote environment, and interface with EPC contractors on project control issues
• Ability to work as part of an integrated team in a remote environment, and interface with EPC multicultural contractors workforce on project control issues
• Proficient in Microsoft Project and Excel with advance knowledge of Primavera Project Planner P3 and P6 and its support packages,. Ability to learn and execute other specialist planning software as required.

• Ability to work in a culturally diverse, remote and challenging environment.
