The Company:
Our Client is a Leading Global Operator in the Oil and Gas Industry. This role supports our client's North Sea projects.

The Role:
Job Purpose

The Planning Engineer will provide a comprehensive Planning Service and support to the Brownfield & Export systems team in Aberdeen for the Execution phase of the project. This will include working with multiple contractors on several key contracts for the successful installation of both Offshore and Onshore facilities. Responsibilities include:

Overseeing the preparation and maintenance of the detailed level 4 & 5 EP/ EPC contractor schedules required for the Execution Phase of the Project.

Evaluating the schedules produced by EP/EPC contractors to ensure that their schedules are robust, clearly identify the critical paths, contain the full contract scope of work and fit within the specified timeframes

Ensuring the Project WBS is adhered to and monitoring/ auditing of any contractor progress measurement systems.

Ensure that contractor plans are transferred and integrated into our client's Integrated Asset Plan. Provide a feedback loop between the plans through application of knowledge of the ongoing asset activities and constraints.

Preparation and updating of specific elements of the Overall level 3 Integrated Project Schedule (IPS) as directed by the Planning Manager

Updating the level 3 IPS to indicate the progress achieved, identify the critical path and highlight any deviations from the plan and forecast delays to the Export team and Delivery Manager.

Preparation of various Reports, Histograms etc. as required, indicating progress achieved and highlighting any deviations from the plan and proposed corrective actions.

Participate in the various Schedule Risk Analysis exercises for the Export Systems team.

Prepare various ad hoc reports and schedules as requested by the Export Systems PCM and his team as well the functional Planning manager.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Awareness of safety management for Onshore and Offshore environment and have demonstrated personal commitment to Safety
• Experience in both Operator and Contractors environments
• Good communications skills both written and verbal
• Highly Proficient in Primavera P6 and Excel
• Experience working on Subsea, Offshore and Onshore terminal projects preferred
• Experience working in Design, Procurement and Fabrication
• Experience in Brownfield and /or Operations environment
• Willing to travel between various locations as well as Contractor offices
