Our Client is a multi-discipline engineering design company providing design, procurement, project and construction management consultancy services.

The Role:
The Role

To act as a focal point for all planning work and activities.
To monitor the key dates of the works, ensuring that the relevant plans/schedules from contractors reflect the true situation, progress reporting is accurate and that any forecasts are realistic and achievable. To monitor the ongoing activities at the sites and advise Project Manager of any critical activities or schedule delays and to provide practical solutions to mitigate any negative impact to the project schedule.


Ability to originate or prepare from design information, in conjunction with discipline engineers where necessary:
Networks (precedence), Work schedules, Progress monitoring reports, Job card system, Management reports
Estimating and costing
Prepare planning charts/diagrams from basic and raw data.
Supervise and/or maintain planning office documentation and records.
Minute planning and process meetings.
Knowledge of materials systems and specifications in the industry.
Organise a project plan on a computer software system , and knowledge of computer based network analysis and related techniques.
Supporting the overall project planning engineer in maintaining the departmental planning strategy , defined by management, ensuring that it is aligned with Company’s strategy and standards.
Coordinating and interfacing with engineering groups to ensure that engineering deliverables for the project are scheduled in line with overall project priorities.
Ensure Contractor’s schedule properly incorporate these deliverable dates. Identify and monitor deliverable dates that may cause problem for Company to achieve desired milestones, seek resolutions with engineering if possible, and, if deemed necessary, elevate to management level for remedy or preventive measures to avoid milestone slippage.
Monitoring and Ensuring that Contractor’s work is completed in a timely manner according to approved project schedules and meeting all key milestones. Instigating/coordinating any corrective actions required to keep project on time and schedule.
Ensuring that all short term critical tasks are reviewed on a weekly basis
Ensuring the that all interfaces are identified, agreed and reviewed on a weekly basis, and required interface actions are communicated and implemented
Preparing weekly and monthly progress reports.
Conducting schedule analysis, and participating in audit on as required basis.
