The Company:
Our client is a major global Oil and Gas EPC management company that can cover small Brownfield projects to major Greenfield projects.
They are a growth company who can serve as a Sole Supplier, Joint Venture or Subcontractor. With a proven track record of delivering large scale complex projects they are a progressive and attractive company.

The Role:
We are currently sourcing a Planning / Schedule Engineer to join our clients North West Office on a Contract basis.

As part of a long term alliance with a major Oil & Gas client based in Kuwait our client are undertaking major revamp and modification/upgrade projects to help modernize the client’s Main Gathering Centre located at Wafra, Kuwait with many sub-centres throughout the three main oil fields that require modifications and further expansion.

Minimum Academic Qualification: Degree level

The key elements of the role are :

Assist in the preparation and maintenance of the overall project schedule to ensure optimization of resources and control of all associated project work.
Ensure effective co-ordination within the planning team and to its external interfaces.
Monitors engineering schedules to ensure that the engineering deliverables are scheduled to meet construction requirements.
Provides weekly reports of engineering and procurement progress, and informs to management on areas of concern and advise remedial actions and alternatives to maintain the schedule.
Monitors contractor, vendors' and sub-contractors schedules to ensure that the project has a realistic and achievable construction schedule.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Minimum Academic Qualification: Degree level
Experience of EPCM engineering projects, including managing multi-discipline design activities with International EPCM contractors.
Hands on experience in Planning
Must have experience in planning software like Primavera, MS Project, etc.
Good written and oral communication skills, demonstrated through client interaction, supervision, proposals and presentations.
Ability to negotiate successfully with clients and contractors through engineering and construction phases of the project.
Computer proficiency; thorough knowledge of project controls systems, procedures, techniques.
Working knowledge of both engineering design & construction.
Experience gained in Oil & Gas industry essential.
