The Company:
Our Client is a global Exploration & Production company focused on the increase of production and reserves, the geographic diversification of activity with increased presence in OECD countries, operational excellence and maximising the profitability of assets.

The Role:
The role requires a candidate who can be hands on in producing daily detailed scheduling deliverables and work as part of the team whilst also being able to oversee at a strategic level to maximise KPI’s. Candidate should be an enthusiastic heavyweight with real desire to expand their careers by working in a key role in one of the leading Integrated Oil and Gas Companies in the world.

The successful canddiate will be a strong and participating team member, but also capable of working individually to a high standard.

The position reports to the BU Spain Technical Manager. Occasional business travel to domestic and international locations is possible. The role will be responsible for all ongoing works for Business Unit Spain. Initially this will entail coordinating various projects and platform works.

The Planning Engineer will be expected to Mentor at least one other employee who will be assigned to assist.

The primary office location is in Madrid, Spain, with frequent in country travel.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Extensive experience in the oil and gas industry, with relevant Planning Engineering experience.
Fluency in English and Spanish is essential
Working knowledge of Scheduling and Planning methodologies and Norms, including AACE International Recommended Practices.
Experience in scheduling software and probabilistic analysis including any of the following: Excel; @RISK; Crystal Ball; DecsionTree; Primavera (P6), Microsoft Project
Familiar with the operating aspects of off-shore and on-shore operations and installations
Knowledge of SAP and computer-based planning tools.
