The Company:
Our client is a leading global operator with offices in over 10 countries and worldwide oilfield projects. In in order to support the delivery of a major offshore exploration project we are looking to recruit a Planning Engineer into a permanent position to be based in Doha.

The Role:
The successful candidate will be tasked with the following responsibilities:

• Undertake an integral role as part of the planning and asset development team incorporate financial and technical analysis
• Coordinate with stakeholders on reserves evaluations, production forecasting, AFE generation and tracking production and Capex/Opex spend
• Develop a system evaluating a rolling 5-year activity plan for all operated fields
• Evaluate resource reporting and in identifying opportunities for cost optimization
• Provide support on various reporting requirements for NOC and regularity authorities
• Drive continuous improvement and increase efficiency in planning related activities

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
We are therefore keen to receive applications from candidates with the following key skills and experience:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering or related discipline
• 5-8 years oil and gas industry experience to include exposure to offshore exploration projects
• Understanding of petroleum economics and financial metrics to include a familiarity with Production Sharing Agreements (PSA)
• Experience with production forecasting tools (OFM, DSS or similar)
• Ability to interact effectively with cross functional team members and outside personnel at various levels
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
