The Company:
Our client a UK based refining and marketing company, have interests in a number of facilities in the United Kingdom, employing around 1000 people throughout the UK and over 33000 worldwide. They have had their presence on Teesside for over 30 years, processing and storing crude oil ready for shipment along with being an established supplier of bulk fuels, including LPG, to the commercial, aviation and marine industries.

The Role:
• Liaise with Project leads/engineers to develop activity / resource plans ranging from level 1 milestone through to detailed execution schedulers in Primavera for a variety of projects on the Teesside Facility.
• Assist the Project lead/engineers in meeting site planning gate milestones.
• Liaise with the site Long term and Medium term planners
• Guide the planning team in the development and validation of detailed job packs and other planning documentation as required as per the facility planning standard.
• Track planning and pre-work and execution activity progress and provide comprehensive reports / S curves.
• Work closely with operations, trade supervisors, project engineers and external contractors to ensure plans are clearly understood and implemented.
• Participate in Simop assessments.
• Confirm final resource requirements/manning histograms.
• Co-ordinate work permit requests in ISSOW in conjunction with the planning team.
• Attend project planning meetings and report progress through all phases.
• Participate in the post project lessons learned exercises

Qualifications Required and Preferred Skills / Competencies:

• Experience of Petro chemical environment and knowledge of process plant, maintenance routines, safety and environmental procedures.
• Strong understanding of activity scheduling, planning and site working standards.
• Knowledge of Microsoft packages, including Word, Excel & project.
• Primavera P6, SAP experience
• Ability to handle an extensive and diverse work load and ability to demonstrate good reporting and communication skills (verbal & written)
• Proven competence in literacy / numeracy skills
• Interpersonal and Multitasking skills
• Ability to influence the organisation at all levels
• Ability to function well within a team environment
• Ability to work, understand and follow instructions, standards and procedures
• Flexible and adaptable by demonstrating a positive “can do” approach to work.
• Safety and environmental awareness.
• Strong mentoring and people development skills.
