The Role:
Our Client has an opportunity for a Planning Engineer who will be located either within their Middlesbrough office or local sites as workload requires. In this role the candidate will have excellent communication skills, and experience in full life cycle project planning, from Concept through to Commissioning.

The ideal candidate will have experience in either petrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, power industries or downstream Oil and Gas.

In this role you will report to the Lead Planner in Teesside and require the following skills:
• Pragmatic approach to problem solving
• Excellent Communication skills with management and peers
• Has the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
• Understanding of Progress monitoring and has the ability to administer throughout a project life-cycle
• Communicate project execution strategies to the project team and can develop execution strategies
• The ability to develop tender schedules for
• Understanding of Project Management / Planning Analytical tools
• Knowledge in the Engineering cycle to construction
• Knowledge in the procurement cycle
• Knowledge of Construction
• Excellent written skills to develop project execution strategy / planning documentation
• Understanding of contracts and contract administration
• The ability to produce S-Curves, Manning plans and productivity charts
• The ability to resource load a schedule
• Recognition of deviation with a project and is able to develop changes
• Utilise Primavera P6 software and Excel to a good standard

• Regular development of the project schedule forecast and S-curves as required by the project
• Update and maintenance of project documentation including Schedule Basis documents, S-Curves, productivity charts and progress monitoring systems
• Development of a project Baseline schedule as required
• Monitoring of the project forecast
• Ability to review and report deviation and mitigate where possible
• Development of Man power planning and project resource loading
• Interact with key stakeholders within the project
• Work within the standard planning and project controls guidelines to support the project manager and organisation
• Provide a focal point to a project execution for all planning related activities
• Development of change within the project

• Relevant Degree
