The Role:
Main Function:

The Planning Engineer is responsible for providing an Integrated Brownfield Schedule based on Level 2 plans for each project / scope of work, covering all phases of the work which in the whole will normally be developed by the respective EPCM or GES Contractors.

General Responsibilities:

• Liaise with Operations to ensure effective integration in IAPS of the Brownfield Scope on the facilities with respect to manning levels and clear guidance / support of the scope and targets for completion
• To immediately advise the respective Project Manager and the Brownfield Project Manager of any issues or concerns relating to engineering or construction activities which might have an impact on schedule and/or budget including potential

Specific Responsibilities:

• Will be the focal point between Brownfield PMT and all internal / external interfaces on all matters relating to Planning
• Assist the Construction Contractor in the development of an integrated Onshore Fabrication and Construction schedule
• To provide assurance on all schedules produced by the relevant Contractors and internal minor project EIR’s (Engineering Investigation Requests)
• Facilitate with all internal / external interfaces to ensure alignment with project milestones and completion targets
• Monitor overall progress to identify any areas of concern or potential improvement / benefit to the schedule
• Monitor procurement to ensure fabrication and installation materials / equipment meet required target dates
• Review and analyse potential changes to the Project Scope and develop proposals for their incorporation in the schedule to the respective Project Managers for approval
• Review construction work-packs with all disciplines to ensure completeness of the scope, including visual appraisal of the work area / site location
• Provide the Shutdown Team with Brownfield work scopes / resource requirements as required, including monitoring, reporting, and analysing solutions for delays, where required, during actual shutdowns
• Provide updated summary weekly and monthly progress reports to each Project and overall Management
• Provide project specific weekly / monthly dashboard
• Manage weekly / monthly planning meetings with the Brownfield Project Manager and the respective Project Managers to review the integrated Brownfield schedule and each Project schedule to verify their current and forecast status

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in planning within the oil & gas industry
• Operator and EPC experience, however EPC biased experience
• Highly involved in shutdown/TAR
• Worked in brownfield construction projects
• Primavera P6 user
