The Role:
Reports to: Senior Planning Engineer
Purpose: To support Senior Planning Engineer in provision of District Division with full planning and work management assistance in terms of well operations, offshore works, onshore construction, operational logistics, permitting, surveys and other District activities.
Qualifications & Experience
The job holder must have:
• Bachelor’s or equivalent degree in Engineering, Planning Studies or closely related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in the relevant area with a minimum 3 years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job as listed above.

• Master’s or equivalent degree in Engineering, Planning Studies or closely related field.
• Experience in working for a major oil company and/or a contractor providing services to one, would be preferable, along with familiarity and experience of planning, performance management and cost engineering
• Job related, completed degrees from accredited institutions may substitute experience on a pre-discussed basi
Required Competencies
The job holder must have proven:
• Familiarity with corporate procedures for project control
• Knowledge of major planning techniques and methods
• Ability to work with computer based tools including MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint etc.)
• Good working knowledge of planning software systems, including Primavera P3e and Microsoft Project
• Ability to work smoothly within a team
• Strong initiative and intuitive abilities
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a diverse community
• Strong written and spoken English
