The Company:
With operations across the world, our client uses innovation and technology to deliver energy to a growing world. They are currently leading an integrated LNG Project in PNG that includes gas production and processing facilities including liquefaction and storage facilities.

The Role:
A Planning specialist is required for the position of Venture Planning Lead to provide their expertise in project schedule preparation.

The Planning Lead will review the Owner’s and EPC project team generated schedules for usefulness, logic, level of detail, input sources, timing, lines of communication, and interfaces with other elements and consistency with project objectives.

With sound interpersonal skills and previous experience in this type of venture planning role on an owner’s team you will assume specific responsibility for:

Providing overall project schedule, progress measurement, and change management leadership and expertise
Maintaining close liaison with members of the Project teams
Developing Owner’s Level 0, Level 1 and Level 2 schedules
Developing management review and discussion presentations
Facilitating integrated schedule workshops, project team and management reviews of integrated schedules
Analyzing schedule trends, develop and review schedule forecasts
Monitoring and reporting on schedule implications of changes
Facilitating development of integrated schedules from EPC data and provided durations
Assisting management in developing/reviewing schedule corrective actions and recovery plans, and making sure needed actions/plans are implemented.

Maintaining regular contact with project teams, planning engineers and owner’s commissioning, start-up, and operations teams, you will provide direct feedback to project planning and controls engineers on schedule aspects as well

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Bachelors of Science Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology
• Extensive oil and gas industry experience on the owners team reviewing EPC contractors schedules
• Onshore gas processing, pipeline, and LNG Plants preferred along with commissioning and start-up experience
Strong interpersonal, teamwork and communication skills
• Adaptability to changing priorities
• Ability to multitask and respond quickly to urgent analysis requests
