The Company:
Our Client is a Leading Global Operator in the Oil and Gas Industry.

The Role:
The planning manager is a member of the project services team and
reports to the project services manager. The planning manager provides a comprehensive planning
service for the project and ensures delivery of a robust and effective planning and
progress measurement system to control, monitor and report the progress of all work associated with
the implementation of the project facilities. The manager will specify the project planning,
progress measurement and reporting procedures and supervise the planning teams in the preparation
of all plans and schedules to produce a project-level integration of the all schedules.

The planning manager will oversee the planning, progress measurement and reporting activities of
all contractors engaged on the project to ensure that schedules (1) fit within the specified
milestones and constraints, (2) are adequately interfaced, (3) are feasible and (4) have been

The planning manager will manage the development of the Master Control Schedule (MCS), schedule
baselines, updating and issuance to pre-agreed project cut-off dates as indicated in the project
reporting calendar. The manager will prepare detailed planning and progress status reports for the
project management team and the unit interest owners to provide full visibility of all trends
and to highlight any deviations from the plan. The planning manager provides strategic planning
analysis and co-operates with the risk manager on all risk analyses for the project.

As part of the project services team, the planning manager will provide
leadership on HSSE issues and set by example behaviours necessary to deliver the team’s commitment
to no accidents, no harm to persons and no damage to the environment.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
1. Provide a comprehensive planning service to the project team.

2. Specify, implement and maintain robust and effective planning, progress measurement and
reporting systems.

3. Supervise planning team to ensure that all work is done to the required
standard and staff utilised have the required experience and competencies.

4. Oversee the planning, progress measurement and reporting activities of all contractors engaged
on the project. This oversight includes vetting the procedures proposed by contractors.

5. Co-ordinate with the central GPO planning function.

6. Manage the central planning team.

7. Providing functional guidance, including maintaining consistency of the planning basis, to
any embedded planners including the planning team established by GPO Korea.

8. Establish and maintain communication and co-ordination between the central planning team in the
UK and Korea.
