The Role:
Planning Specialist is responsible for supporting delivery of performance in HSE, production, operations cost control and growth, planned shutdown execution through the application of effective and efficient planning as defined by Company Planning and Scheduling guidelines and liaison with 3rd party business. To support 1SAP upgrades implementation and provide technical support to office and site based planning interfaces.
Planning Specialist will be based onshore. Responsible for the strategic 90-day planning and scheduling for Liverpool Bay offshore and onshore facilities and preparing integrated plans for train outages and planned shutdowns.
Key responsibilities include:-
- Daily contact with site personnel
- Develop action plans to continually improve offshore operations planning and execution, process performance with respect to HSEC, production, cost and reliability
- Coordination / support for the execution of major maintenance jobs on the operations site
- Support the Operations in managing planned costs
- Coordination for the 3rd party business
- Support operations sites for 1SAP coordination
Contracts/ Budgeting/ Reporting
• Support Operations and site managers in the Management and control of operations budgets, liaising with accountant and budget holders reporting any issues (overspends, accruals, etc) at monthly budget meetings
• Support contractual reviews, conflict resolution and procurement to pay process
• Support Documentum control system and optimizing the utilisation of 1SAP/GSAP inclusive of time writing
• Develops and analyses reports to identify opportunities for cost optimisation and tracking of budgeted costs against activities and assets
Planning
• Responsible for the control and delivery of all complex maintenance planned activities in accordance with Company HSSEC Policy and Procedures, to meet business targets, throughput, cost, reliability and satisfy customer requirements.
• Ensure all Major and Integrity Assurance related work and/or breakdown activities are prioritised, resourced and planned appropriately to meet the Asset plan.
• Prepare and update of the Integrated 90 Day plan for all sites including the ISP
• Support Offshore and Onshore Planners and Schedulers for effective planning (28 day Maintenance and 90 day Site plans)
• Prepare plans for complex work and routine outages (train outages and field outages) and plan and schedule work orders, resourcing 3rd party vendors, materials and manpower assignments
• Liaise with System Custodians to optimize Critical Equipment maintenance and manage maintenance deferrals
• Maintain the UKPU’s planning & reporting processes and procedures incorporating all functional team activities to allow safe execution of work scopes, minimisation of production downtime and optimised use of resources and periodically ensuring their alignment with Company 1SAP Work Management standards.
• Include, support and assist in managing CAPEX project plans
• Track and maintain the meeting of targets for measures for planning performance within the UKPU and assess/report compliance.
• Manage the 1SAP Maintenance database, ensuring that the maintenance routines are up to date and aligned with HSE requirements and the UKPU Operational/Maintenance Strategy.
• Provide 1SAP and planning functional expertise to UKPU Maintenance Review programs and employ the MDR process to implement strategy changes where identified.
• Liaise with System Custodians to optimize Critical Equipment maintenance and manage maintenance deferrals
• Contribute to the performance management and development of PoA Maintenance Scheduler in a functional capacity and provide day-to-day guidance to Maintenance Scheduler as required
• Coordinate field-wide Maintenance Reviews to optimise planned maintenance routines whilst complying with HSEC requirements and reliability targets
HR/Training
• Drives continual improvement and procedural reviews.
• Supports the leadership model, fosters team development and culture.
• Guides, coaches and mentors team members inclusive of Site Planners and Schedulers
Logistics/Materials
• Support operational sites in managing the interface and resolving challenges between the operations sites and base support.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Engineering Diploma (or equivalent standard of education or experience).
• Extensive experience in planning & coordination roles; covering onshore and offshore oil & gas operations, front end & detailed engineering, procurement, fabrication, onshore & offshore construction, platform installation, offshore hook-ups, operations modifications & maintenance, shutdown planning, and integrated asset planning.
• Firm understanding of the safety ethos and standards required for offshore oil & gas facilities.
• Provide support to the IMT.
• High level IT literacy and ‘hands-on’ experience – GSAP, MS Project, Primavera or equivalent.
• Detailed knowledge of project and maintenance planning processes and strategies
• Working knowledge of SAP for Maintenance management and competent in the use of MS Project or Primavera platforms
