The Role:
1. Purpose of the Role:

• Ensure that we have the right products, in the right places and at the right times in Benelux and across the global network of Gent produced finished goods.
• Supervise the production planning for Gent manufactured products.
• Manage the distribution planning process with the objectives of meeting target service levels with the minimum amount of inventory and stock obsolescence
• Develop people, processes and tools with specific accountability for outbound planning and inventory management
• Implement and sustain ESD supply planning processes and take advantage of the further role out of SAP APO across E&A and Americas, managing the local changes required.

2. Key Results/Accountabilities

• Supervise the production planning for Gent manufactured products Manage and develop the supply planning team in Gent / Belgium, including the management of product changes (introductions and deletions).
• Manage the distribution planning process with the objectives of meeting target service levels with the minimum amount of inventory and stock obsolescence.
• Develop, establish and own the Auto LSR (Local Supply Review) process within Belgium and the STEM (Short Term Exception Management) process for all key markets supplied from the Auto Hub.
• Implement and sustain the ESD (European Service Delivery) process including the establishment of new ESD processes for Belgium.
• Support the sales & operations planning process in the development of supply chain solutions to maintain fulfilment targets.
• Support the LBM (Lubricants Business Management) supply planning process by developing “what if” scenarios.
• Develop and implement inventory processes and tools to all stock locations supplied from employer, deliver finished goods inventory levels and provide monthly inventory projections with supporting working capital improvement initiatives.
• Ongoing review of the rationale parameters used for the calculation on regional level.
• Lead the supply reliability process.
• Design the communication and reporting framework.
• Supervise and secure high quality of master data adherence.
• Support the Regional Planning Manager in driving forward processes
• Develop and coach people

Key performance indicators

• RCCP (Rough Cut Capacity Planning) for manufacturing output
• LBM (Lubricants Business Management) process adherence
• KPI’s: plan adherence, schedule adherence, inventory, IFOT & FPA & IUS
• Inventory levels; SLOB’s report (Slow, obsolete, excess) including mitigation plans
• People: My Plan objectives, PDP, succession planning, Trainings, Development
• Process & system : Continuous improvement of APO Planning processes
• APO SNP Master Data Accuracy

OMS accountabilities

• Ensure legal & OMS compliance to all regulatory and internal requirements in line with the OMS matrix added as attachment to process 1.5 in OMS.
• Accountabilities within the scope of legal or employer's OMS requirements might be assigned to this role with separate written assignment documents

• Local / Regional Supply Planning team
• Regional / Local CF teams
• Regional / Local Demand Managers
• Local Manufacturing / Scheduling team
• Local Product Line Administration (PLA) team

3. Key Challenges Faced on the Role:

Key challenges
• Ability to understand the end to end Value chain processes
• Strong functional expertise to deliver a step change in planning maturity from basic to best in class performance.
• Ensuring the master data in the planning systems provides an accurate system calculated replenishment plan.
• Conducting thorough root cause analysis on supply failures to ensure the true root cause is understood and being able to propose the right corrective solutions.
• Ability to plan by exception and to prioritize accordingly given the scale and complexity of the item and supplier portfolio as well as the total European distribution network.
• Developing a good working relationship with local and regional stakeholders
• People, process and tool development supporting SAP APO

Specific projects / process development
• LBM capacity planning and local supply review incl. what if Scenarios based on V+Os
• Short term exception management [lead STEM meetings]
• Improved SLOBS management & reporting together with CF Stock Controllers
• New product introductions & Product replacement, Phase-in Phase-out planning

4. Any other relevant information
• Leading a Team of 2 Supply Planners in Gent.
• Main activity is on Gent site, some travel can be expected across the BP network
• Business scope for Gent is ca 200 ML for Automotive and Industrial shipped to customers in Europe, Africa, ASPAC and America shipped to customers across the world
• The jobholder is a member of the Regional Planning Team BE, UK&I
• Peer working relationship with Regional Planning and others cross-functional

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Master degree or equivalent based on experience
• Working knowledge of planning systems is mandatory, preferable SAP APO.
• Mandatory to operate with ease at different levels of planning (operational, tactical and strategic).
• Planning mindset with fast-moving consumer goods or similar experience
• End to end value chain and business understanding
• Experience in Sales & Operations (S&OP) / Integrated Business Planning environments
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Customer focused and proactive.
• Technical & professional competencies
• Fluent in Dutch and English, (written and verbal)
• Understanding of Value Chains end to end

Job specific competencies
• The role requires the following supply chain planning competencies:
• Level 3 in aggregate planning, Material Requirements Planning (MRP), Inventory Management and Analysis and System and Master Data.
• Level 2 in Rough Cut Capacity Planning (RCCP), Network Planning, Distribution Requirements Planning (DRP) and Mas
