The Company:

The Role:
Nightshift work only on a project they plan to carry out before the end of the year. Rota TBC. Each nightshift will be approx 12 hours. Position is full-time but number of shifts per week TBC. Must be able if required to work additional hours to provide cover and rotate between plant assistant roles.

The Plant Assistant (Nights) is responsible for the safe, efficient operation of the plant. This is achieved by monitoring, inspecting, controlling, maintaining and supporting operations.

REPORTS TO - Operations Engineer.

Experience:
Experience of working in and contributing to a continuous process/production/ operational environment.
Working as part of and contributing to a team.
Meeting performance and work targets.
Fault diagnosis and problem solving.
Experience of fork lift truck driving.

Knowledge:
Appreciation of Safe System of Work processes and procedures:
• Permit to work
• Incident control
• Risk assessments and method statements
Appreciation of plant maintenance.

Software Knowledge:
Microsoft Office

Management - Self & Others:
Committed to self-development. Undertakes training to continuously develop and progress career.
Confident to make appropriate decisions, without manager consultation.

Ability Traits:
A strong team player, committed to contributing to and working with other in own and cross-functional teams.
Confident in numerical abilities, including data analysis, reading and monitoring charts, tracking sheets etc.
Able to monitor, analyse and evaluate data and information and use own judgement to make suggestions regarding plant operations/maintenance.
Confident self-starter, able to work unsupervised, use own initiative & progress personal development.
Confident communicator verbally & in writing, with colleagues at all levels, external customers & contractors.
A flexible attitude to role & duties, positive about secondments & other development opportunities.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
NVQ level 2 or equivalent in process, electrical or mechanical disciplines.
GCSE Maths and English at grades A-C.
