The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Position Description:
- PMST Leader
- Auto transmission forward Quality Lead forward qulaity planning activities in support of new auto transmission programme development including co-ordinating product FMEA, APQP development in conjunction with the company Purchase STA and engineering,departments and also with the transmission supplier's quality and enginnering teams to achive PPAP/PSW.

Skills Required:
- Good programme managment skills
- Working knowledge of FMEA process
- Ability to lead problem resolution using quality related tools.
- Act as key contact and co-ordinate and drive supplier forward quality.
- Good Supplier liaison skills, excellent communicator.
- Able to manage engineering workstreams in parallel.
- Full UK Driving licence & meet medical requirements of testing in the companies facilities.

Skills Preferred:
- Knowledge of quality planning tools such as Lessons Learnt, robustness planning,
- Knowledge of auto transmissions prefereable but not essential.
- Working knowledge of the company project delivery processes
- GPDS, eFDVS, AIMS
- Good problem solving techniques (ideally formal 5D, 8D of six sigma DMAIC process understanding)

Experience Required:
- Minimum 3 years experience with a proven record of component/project delivery preferably in automotive an environment.

Experience Preferred:
- Mechanical/Automotive Engineering Degree preferred

Education Required:
- An HND or Degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering

Education Preferred:
- Mechanical/Automotive Engineering Degree preferred

Additional Information :
- Primary site location is Whitley or Gaydon (currently under negotiation) however travel between sites will be required to support the programme as required.
- Travel to supplier overseas will be required in support of the project therefore a valid passport is needed
