The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
The role exists to be the PMST Leader for Seating to deliver required systems for all programmes.
The primary role is to lead the cross functional PMST team to deliver the Seating commodity within the quality, cost and timing constraints identified within the programme.
Set objectives and co-ordinate actions to deliver system in line with the programme targets (cost, quality, performance, timing etc.)
Lead the PMST team in the delivery of the system objectives and present progress on those objectives at programme reviews including, but not limited to, PST’s, Technical reviews and Gateways.
Prepare and own project-timing plans for all system activities e.g. build support, DVP test plan.
Project manage the sourced supplier to deliver fully engineered systems meeting all engineering and programme targets.
Key fact holder for selected programme commodities.
Ensure full Failure Mode Avoidance processes are implemented.
Ability to demonstrate understanding of internal metrics including RFT data.
Ensure resources are in place to support objectives and assist in determining future resource requirements.
Supervise assigned team members, giving direction and workload priorities.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Minimum Degree level in Engineering or equivalent relevant experience.
Extensive experience within automotive industry, preferably with a broad range of experience, particularly within Interior Trim and hardware system design and delivery.
Experience in seating systems would be a major advantage.
Experienced project management skills or clear evidence of leadership ability.
Experience of working in high pressure pre-production and launch situations
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint.
Good ability to clearly present information to all levels in the organisation.
Knowledge of NX an advantage
Knowledge of the AML AMPCS process would be beneficial.
Knowledge of the Failure Mode Avoidance techniques.
The ideal candidate will be a focused, highly motivated, results orientated individual who works well under pressure and can work to a given deadline.
Ability to lead a cross functional team environment is essential.
