The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Implement a structured approach to analysing and solving business problems in order to develop more effective and efficient ways of working. Have the ability to respond with urgency and quality of execution within a fast-paced organisation. Lead improvement projects - applying effective project/programme management - to ensure on time delivery and achievement of planned outcomes. Effectively engage and influence stakeholders to deliver sustainable improvements that make a difference. Facilitate cross functional working to develop solutions that are based on effective end-to-end processes. Redesign business processes using lean principles to improve quality and service and thereby reduce cost. Prepare and deliver improvement training modules to develop internal capability in improvement.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Process re engineering and application of lean. Pragmatic problem solver. Facilitation of cross functional improvement workshops. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Project leadership. Creation and delivery high quality presentations. Minimum of 5 years experience in business improvement/operational excellence. Leadership of cross functional projects delivering tangible benefits (applications/cvs should clearly address this point). Proven project management capability. Must have experience of working within a process environment within a large organisation. Educated to degree standard or equivalent in experience.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Experience in the automotive industry. Recognised improvement qualification: e.g. lean competency, black belt. Formal lean/improvement training.
