The Company:
Our Client is a large Automotive Consultancy who work with world leading Automotive OEMs who are responsible for some of the most iconic cars produced. Due to new contracts and existing project growth there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering on a contract basis.

The Role:
Our client is looking to recruit a Power-train Simulation Expert responsible for:

1 Responsible for CAE analysis, methods development, and automation
2 Enhancing the product development process by implementing the virtual series concepts
3 Validation of simulation methods using physical tests and refining the methods to improve CAE confidence / reliability
4 Provide and execute strategy to reduce physical testing / prototypes and demonstrate the tangible savings
5 Implement simulation practices in the on-going programs


Skills and Experience Required
• Areas Expertise in Power-train: 1D/3D CFD, Structural NVH /Durability, Multi-Body Dynamics. Details of specific simulation areas is given in the table below
• Product Knowledge: Expertise in simulation & test correlation and model validation; Experience in working on engine development programs, FMEA / DVP / DVP understanding; Experience in understanding gate reviews & requirements
• Process Knowledge: Worked on full engine program lifecycle for OEM/Tier-1, Expertise in understanding OEM product development process and deliverable expectations at each gateway, understanding of target setting in each gateway, CAD / design freeze concepts, analysis & results fidelity requirements, etc.
• Large experience of power-train experience in OEM environment
• Good to have but not essential: Master’s / doctorate degree
• Soft Skills: Strong analytical ability and engineering judgment, Self starter from day-1, Ability to work in global engineering model, Sound inter-personal & negotiation skills
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills, Sound technical authoring ability and presentation skills across various levels of the organization, mentoring ability to the leads and other team members
• Tool knowledge: Relevant tools for each discipline
