The Company:
Our Client is a large Automotive and Commercial Vehicle OEM, with a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering on a contract basis. These opportunities are typically based in their research and development facility located in Dunton which is the largest automotive technical centre in the United Kingdom.

The Role:
Develop and maintain the application software delivery plan in order to support the program deliverables and gain alignment with the project control engineers, powertrain calibration teams and launch.

Skills Required:
Rally AccuRev / Jenkins CANalyser / CANoe / CAPL / CANdb++ ATI C / C++/ Matlab / Simulink.
MS Project MS Office Suite (Access / Excel / Word / PowerPoint).
Ability to respond positively on time limited issues.
Ability to prioritise several tasks Software timing plans.

Skills Preferred:
Previous experience within Ford with other automotive OEM.

Experience Required:
Significant experience working with program management and gateways.
Experience of project management.
Understanding of Software development process, Ford diesel software architecture and business model and Software V cycle (development through to testing and signoff).
Proven ability to communicate and work effectively with others in a global context.
Proven ability to work with and direct external software suppliers.
Office software capabilities (Microsoft Packages).

Experience Preferred:
Experience with software project management software.
Experience in software controls development.
Experience of diesel Software Development.
Environment Experience of program gateway paper development and reporting.
Experience of software development processes and ways of working.
Experience of debugging software build and vehicle level software issues.

Education Required:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Computer Science (or equivalent).

Additional Information :
Position is within the Global Powertrain Control Systems Team based in the Dunton Technical Centre, Basildon, Essex. However, limited travel to Continental Europe may be required.
