The Role:
Powertrain NVH Engineer;
Lead the vibro-acoustic refinement of powertrain sub-systems (mounts, exhaust, intake, fuel systems) for specific powertrain and vehicle program(s)
Negotiate noise & vibration targets in-line with customer cross-attribute expectations and program feature content
Plan and oversee CAE, testing & data processing to support the program timing & NVH requirements
Carry out detailed data processing & analysis
Interpret results and provide expert recommendations to design teams.
Run task force meetings to robustly define, understand and solve powertrain NVH issues under cost & timing constraints.
Prepare senior management presentations to demonstrate issue resolution.
Liaise closely with vehicle, program and design teams to deliver on-target NVH performance, when required, develop and implement new NVH methods and processes.
Regularly update program, quality & process documentation

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Able to demonstrate:
Proven team working capability
NVH experience/knowledge
Strong drive for results and initiative
Good written and verbal communication skills
Strong project management skills
Good negotiation skills

Proven team working capability
NVH experience / knowledge (not necessarily automotive)
Will look at graduates, should have a final year project or work experience related to noise or vibration investigation

Degree in Acoustics / Automotive / Aeronautics / Mechanical Engineering or similar required.
Good verbal and written English required
Must have a full UK or European driving license

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
MSc / PhD in related field would be advantageous
German as 2nd language would be advantageous
