The Company:
Is a leading Automotive manufacturer and is currently experiencing an upturn in production with demand increasing globally.

The Role:
1. Responsible for the definition and development of Secondary Air & Vacuum Systems for turbocharged petrol engine Powertrains.
2. Support package engineers in design of acceptable installation for owned systems.
3. Creation of system specifications, DFMEA’s, validation requirements and management of activities to ensure these are met and risks/ issues identified and resolved.
4. Release of components via company systems.
5. Interaction with all levels up to ‘Head of Dept.’ across the business, particularly with Purchasing, Quality, Manufacturing & Suppliers.
6. Be responsible for running of cross-functional design reviews to resolve issues and report/deliver to project milestones.
7. Development of system timing plans.
8. Maintain awareness of latest developments within the automotive industry for secondary air and vacuum systems.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Engineering degree/ HND minimum.
Automotive background strongly preferred.
Experience in design & development of Powertrain systems, preferably including Secondary and Vacuum, is desirable.
