The Role:
Develops, plans and schedules Predictive / Preventive Maintenance PPM activities that are required to support facility and equipment maintenance strategies that meets the needs of Sadara’s lowest long term cost of ownership principles.

• Provides input into the development of the facility and equipment maintenance strategies on those issues dealing with PPM.
• Identifies the appropriate PPM to be performed on existing or new equipment through research of vendor information, discipline subject matter experts, modelling outputs, RCM tools, results of historical data, etc.
• Insures that scheduled services are entered into the MMS system based upon the development of the facility and equipment maintenance strategies or reviews of new equipment that is being installed.
• Serves as the subject matter expert during root cause investigations where PPM practices have been identified as a potential cause.
• Identifies and sets up training necessary to support the individuals that perform the individual PPM tasks.
• Tracks compliance of completion of PPM tasks and advises the Plant Leadership and Reliability Engineer of other issues impacting the effectiveness of the PPM program.
• Insures that documentation of findings of PPM activities are properly documented in the MMS system so that evaluations can be done based on data and execute appropriate corrective actions based on deficiencies found.
• Identifies opportunities to extend PPM intervals and works with the reliability engineer to evaluate the impact of changing PPM intervals based upon probability and consequences i.e. risk.
• Updates the MMS system for new equipment from projects.
• Supports development and setting of appropriate PPM metrics and supports drive to improve compliance of PPM activities vs goals.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Technical Degree
• Experience in similar technical/ industrial field of work
• PM operating discipline
• PPM planning principles,
• Risk assessment process
• Maintenance information systems
• Spare parts identification process
• A firm understanding of applicable equipment standards, specifications, design criteria, philosophies and equipment maintenance strategies.
• Knowledge of engineering work processes
