The Company:
Our client has been engaged in the exploration and production of natural gas in the Netherlands and the North Sea Continental Shelf since 1964. In the Dutch sector of the North Sea, gas is produced from 22 platforms and 3 subsea production installations. Most of the platforms are unmanned and remotely operated; four have gas treatment facilities.

The Role:

- Contributes to commissioning activities of project’s having a budget ≥100 M€
- Act as discipline expertise holder for Pre-Commissioning / Commissioning activities.
- Project consists of shallow water gas field development in Dutch sector of North Sea:
o 2 subsea wells with subsea production system (conventional electro-hydraulic), operated thru 17 km umbilical;
o 17 km 6” pipeline tie-back to existing K5-CC production complex.
- Extensive topsides modifications on brown-field K5-CC production complex operated by Total.


- To direct commissioning preparation and commissioning execution both on fabrication sites and offshore in order to deliver an installation to Company operation divisions
ready for operation on schedule by using Company specifications as guideline.
- To manage activities from Ready for commissioning status to Ready for Start-up status as per Opercom.
- To develop a strategy in order to maximize onshore commissioning and minimize lost time due to interfaces.
- To manage the preparation of pre-commissioning/commissioning procedures and reporting tools (including technical database, planning, punch list control with the use of
- To develop Commissioning Test Procedures and Operational Test Procedures with Operations.
- To perform the execution of commissioning to achieve maximum productivity, minimize cost and achieve smooth hand over.
- To promote safety within the commissioning activities and verifies that safety procedures are implemented by commissioning team.
- To supervise the reporting of Pre-com/Commissioning execution to ensure that all technical, Contractual and cost information is properly recorded, collected and available
for inspection/reference as required by law regulations and company policies.
- Verification technical documents required for commissioning
- Ensures proper status and quality of pre-commissioning by monitoring and controlling pre-commissioning activities.
- Participates in relevant Factory Acceptance Tests
- Set-up/follow-up punch list and provide red blue as-built marked-up documentation.
- Organize Vendor assistance during commissioning.
- To supervise the schedule of commissioning in order to reach the planned end date.

- Pre-commissioning is responsibility of major construction contractors, commissioning – TEPNL.
- Position located in TEPNL office in The Hague, the Netherlands for a few months, then rotational schedule (2x2).


- Commissioning of new/modified systems to be handed-over to Field Operation Department, ’’Ready For Start-Up’’
- Respect of local rules and regulations; Company referential, HSE and Quality objectives

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- Qualification: BSc in Instrumentation & Process Control, or equivalent
- Experience: Minimum 5 years within the Petroleum industry
- Specific knowledge: Detailed knowledge of Instrument Engineering.
- Pro-active with good organisational skills, team spirit, strong communication skills (verbal & written) and service minded
- English language is mandatory, both spoken & written
