The Role:
Position Title:
Pre-Commissioning Team Leader

Project:
Long Term Compression (LTC) Project consists of the installation of a modularised booster compression unit adjacent to and interfacing with the existing platform. The project is in Execution with an expected start-up date of Q3 2013.

Purpose:
• Lead the activities of the pre-commissioning team at the module fabrication yard.
• Assist the Commissioning manager with the commissioning and start-up of the module; it is expected that this position will lead the offshore commissioning team.
• Help to ensure alignment between the contractor, major equipment suppliers and the Project Management Team throughout pre-commissioning and start-up.
• Ensure all disciplines are ready to start pre-commissioning as soon as possible to ensure a safe and early delivery of the LTC module.

Accountabilities and End Results:

The Pre-Commissioning Team leader to work closely with the Commissioning Manager to develop and then deliver the LTC pre-commissioning workscope which meets the business needs and are in compliance with internal and external standards/ codes/ regulatory requirements and HSE policies and goals. This role will be instrumental in ensuring successful pre-commissioning of the module prior to sailaway and final commissioning offshore.

Primary Functions:

- Work as a Pre-Commissioning Team Leader in the design office, module fabrication site, vendor works and offshore.
- Assist the Commissioning Manager as required.
- Participate in HAZOP, SIL assessments etc.
- Develop, jobcard, plan and resource all Greenfield Pre-Commissioning activities.
- Lead a multi-discipline team of engineers and technicians

Essential:

- Relevant experience of pre-commissioning within offshore oil and gas industry.
- Excellent Oil and Gas engineering Multi-Discipline Knowledge
- Highly motivated, proactive problem-solving individual with good communication and interpersonal skills
- Commercial and contractual awareness
- Able to take a lead and show initiative.
- Current offshore survival and medical.

Desirable

- Ability to communicate technically complex / novel concepts to non specialists
- Able to represent Commissioning discipline internally and externally on technical issues

Organisational Fit:

This position supports all aspects of the LTC Commissioning and day-to-day reporting is to the Commissioning Manager, in the Commissioning Manager’s absence the position reports to the LTC Project Manager.

Challenges:

Contributing to a novel packaging and delivery design in a high pressure environment ensuring that the design and construction contractor maintains schedule and produces deliverables to allow Greenfield pre-commissioning in a timely manner.

Other Information:

The position is initially Aberdeen based but will require attendance at the Module fabricators, Vendor Premises and Offshore. This position will be resident at the fabricator (Wilton Engineering Services, Teesside) facility during the mechanical completion and pre-commissioning phase of the fabrication
