Our client is a leading operating oil & gas company who have a massive international presence.

The Role:
The role of Preparation Engineer


Essential Job Functions:
• Work with Division EP Staff to prepare RFQs for well work activities (Slickline, E-Line, Coiled Tubing, Stimulation,
• Well Testing, etc.). Play lead role in organizing Technical Evaluations and preparing Commercial Models.
• Perform routine tracking of contract status and ensure Division EP Staff are aware of contract limits and expiry dates.
• Prepare and present for approval Bid Strategies, Technical Evaluations and Commercial Award Recommendations.
• Function as primary contact for Division EP to communicate and resolve performance issues with Contractors.
• Function as primary contact for improving overall Contractor performance through implementation of bonus / penalty contracts and leading driver performance monitoring and reporting initiatives.
• Organize and attend all Service Quality Meetings (SQMs). Ensure ACTIONS from SQMs are communicated to all and
• Utilise appropriate follow-through methods to ensure ACTIONS are closed out by both Division EP and Contractors.
• Liase with Contractors to present new technologies available for well work interventions to Division EP Staff.
• Work closely with Groupement Berkine Appros and Contracts Staff in Hassi-Messaoud to ensure processes and methods are fully alligned
• Travel to Hassi-Messaoud on average 2 times per 28 day rotation to ensure good communications.
• Assist Division EP Staff in preparation of annual well work Budgets.
• Assist Division EP in reporting of monthly Budget versus Actual performance.
• Assist and support activities aimed at improvement of overall operational efficiency and sharing of critical resources across fields and Departments.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Contract Management desirable, other degrees will be considered
• Understanding of basic contract law principles with high ethical standards.
• Proficient in use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Outlook), Adobe Acrobat and Internet Explorer.

Required Experience:
• 8+ years of relevant petroleum industry experience, preferably with a major operator. Work history to be biased towards procurement of goods and services related to oil and gas operations
• Experienced with contract tender preparation process and possess strong skills in bid evaluation/normalization. Candidate should be highly organized and have a solid understanding of basic well work operational activities to aid in RFQ/Tender preparation with Division EP Staff

• Ability to work in a culturally diverse, remote and challenging environment on a rotational basis
• Knowledge of French and/or Arabic an advantage
