The Company:
Our client, a major owner/operating company, requires expertise for their LNG mega-project in Western Canada.

This position is open to Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents only.

The Role:
The Preservation Coordinator should have experience in the following:

Develop the project Preservation Plan and Procedures
• Engage other teams to identify scope (including preservation of spare parts, equipment service familiarization, training, and documentation), define their role and build alignment.
• Develop a specific execution plan and schedule for preservation activities.
• Identify resources necessary to execute the preservation plan
• Coordinate with vendor/supplier and logistics and transportation to address equipment packaging, preservation and Integrity during shipping i.e. Identify method of transportation and effect of transportation method on equipment; identify preservation requirements in a variety of environments during the transportation phase.

Implement the planned preservation program in the field
• Ensure that all preservation work is performed in an Incident and Injury Free manner, regardless of what resource is performing the work.
• Ensure that preservation requirements are requested on the VDRL of the RFQ at the procurement phase.
• Execute all the planned owner allocated preservation activity on plan and to the required standards
• Ensure preparation of preservation turnover work packs and ITR templates.
• Coordinate preservation activities at the vendor shop prior to and during transportation.

Define and execute a management system to verify that preservation activity is performed to the required timeline and criteria.

• Identify and document preservation acceptance criteria.
• Identify and develop preservation ITR’s or check sheets by tag.
• Identify relevant preservation milestones for tracking in the preservation record keeping in systems completions data base.
• Develop a preservation inspection plan, including audits of work performed by others (other owner functions, contractors, suppliers etc.).
• Identify and attend key FAT’s and inspections at vendor/supplier facility.
• Build and manage the team of owner resources necessary for the work scope assigned to the owner.
• Develop and execute a preservation status reporting system

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
The Preservation Coordinator will have experience:

The successful candidate will have 10+ years’ experience in oil and gas projects and an engineering degree or 25+ years’ experience in maintenance. In either case, prior experience in responsibility for preservation is required.

Writing and planning skills are essential and some prior experience supervising small field teams would be desirable.
